The TSAM Journey

The Humble Beginning

All Tunku Scholars began their journey with the same first step - they applied for the Tunku Abdul Rahman Scholarship (BTAR), eager to earn a scholarship as they pursue their Bachelor's degree, whether in science and technology, business, or the arts and humanities.

If anything, Tunku Scholars have one thing in common: the drive and desire to achieve something bigger than themselves. BTAR, and the aspiration to live up to the legacy of Tunku Abdul Rahman, was, for many, their first exposure to a group that is passionate about nation development.

The Networking

After passing the stringent selection process and securing the scholarship, now dubbed 'Tunku Scholars', these young students began to network with their Tunku Scholars peers and seniors. Most of these seniors came from diverse backgrounds, from the law, engineering, medicine, education, aquaculture, counselling, language studies, creative technology, and more. Name the course; there will be a Tunku Scholar there.

From outreach programmes to webinars and talks, the Tunku Scholars begin to chart their paths and pursue passions independent of their fields of study as they expand their networks and make new friends.

Graduating and Venturing Out

Sadly, nobody can stay a Bachelor's degree student forever. Each Tunku Scholar began to graduate and apply for jobs, building their careers in their respective fields of interest. Many of the Tunku Scholars worked to achieve prominence and excellence in their own capacity, while others ventured out to impact the country in bigger ways.

What is clear, however, is that the passion always lingers. The networking remains, and as time goes by, Tunku Scholars Association Malaysia began to grow as a platform to allow its members to network, connect with others, and launch projects to achieve their dreams.
